CSA Week 24!

Hello!

First off, We want to let all the CSA members know that we will be at Richland Park Farmers Market through December. We would like to offer a 15% off at our Farmers Market stand to all CSA members through the end of 2016. We'll have cabbage, broccoli, beets and lots of other good stuff over the coming weeks.

I can't believe this is the second to last CSA of the season! Although, This week has improved greatly from last week! All of the sheep seem to be doing well with the exception of a couple that we are monitoring vigilantly. But all signs seem to say they are fine. My cousins Holly and Kendall were here this week and helped us get our garlic planted! It was a lot of work but it feels so good to mostly done with that! Lettuce, large kale, and collard greens should be in next week, and we are planning a short vacation after the CSA is over! wee!

Here's your CSA for this week!

Arugula, mustard greens, tatsoi, dill or basil, sweet potatoes, garlic, turnips, radishes, decorative pumpkins/gourds and MAYBE apple butter. If I get to it and I don't make it this week, you might get it next week.

So you'll be getting three types of greens again this week.

Just want to remind you that in addition to salads, you can always sautee (even arugula), make chips, or make pesto which takes no time to make and can be frozen for the winter.

Here's a recipe for arugula pesto (although any green can be substituted):
